Implementation
Once the needs analysis is complete – MCG FM’s consulting team can help guide your organization through the implementation process. A thorough understanding and execution of an IWMS implementation includes many aspects such as:

Data Integration:
A successful IWMS implementation should integrate and share data from and with different sources throughout your organization. This is accomplished by establishing the data source “owners”. A good example is the integration with the Human Resources database to get employee names, departments, and other information. The IWMS in turn will provide the employees location ID to the HR database. MCG FM can help you link the IWMS to other systems in your organization to increase the effectiveness and distribute the benefits of your system.

Database Configurations:

CAD services
For a fully successful IWMS implementation, a key factor is full integration of your facility and real estate information with the spatial data in your CAD drawings. The information in IWMS can be communicated throughout an organization in reports or color-coded floor plans. Often, these images help bring the facilities “to life” with concise information shared in an easy-to-understand format.

MCG FM can add polylines to your CAD drawings and link them to the IWMS database. This important step links the CAD drawings to the database and allows you to query both database and floor plan for any information. We will work with you to apply the correct space classifications and functional codes to your rooms and measure your space according the DFM, IFMA, BOMA or your own organizational area measurement guidelines.

Training
MCG FM can provide on-site training programs, increasing the effectiveness of both training and usage immediately after the class. Our classes range from training new users on basic IWMS capabilities and reporting to advanced database and systems configurations. For new customers, training covers the basic functions of the program and its modules and can occur before or after the implementation of MCG FM’s solutions, depending on the data set used. For existing customers, extra training for new staff or basic training for new modules installed can be offered, in addition to advanced training in particular areas or for specialized profiles (e.g. system administrators or power users).
